We are a Jacksonville fiberglass repair company which now also manufacture custom boats. We use the highest quality materials and build using the best methods, open molding and vacuum infusion, all by qualified technicians. After 6 successful years at G-Finishing Custom Fiberglass, we've taken the next step, to build custom boats as well as carry on fiberglass repairs and full boat restorations.
Steve was the founder of G-Finishing and had been in business for over 10 years, with 25 years experience in the fiberglass industry. He started his career in car body work and spraying, moving into the boat industry in 1997 making racing Catamarans from Kelvar also smaller dinghy's and racing yachts from GRP, G-Finishing was also a sub-contractor to BAE Systems repairing Naval fiberglass ridgid inflatable boats.
The ownership was transfered to Emmanuil in 2019, which has continued operations under the same name. We have expanded our production capabilities by adding fabrication equipment such as chopper wet-out systems and gelcoat systems. We have also expanded on our vacuum infusion capabilities and our light resin transfer fabrication. These latter methods of fabrication enable us to produce high glass to resin ratios that keep the weight of the parts low without affecting the overall strength.
Emmanuil is a certified composites technician, holding three separate certifiations in repair and fabrication technologies. He has worked with several large corporations in the transportation and manufacturing industries, including Bombardier, Howmet Aerospace, and Northrop Grumman. Having obtained a composites graduate degree, with distinction, from the International Yacht Restoration Academy in Newport RI, where the focus is on problem solving and finding better ways to manufacture or repair using the latest proven materials and techniques.
We define our success by achieving the highest level of customer satisfaction.
